Electronic Poker is a popular game that can be played in casinos throughout the globe, or alternatively at your house on your personal computer, through a net connection. The rules are very simple and involve the player trying to achieve the best mixture of cards possible in order to come away with money. On this account it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, minus the interaction with any other players. Of course, techniques used in a real-life game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless in Video Poker.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler inserts credits (whether it’s tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the play button. A hand of five cards will be "distributed" on the screen.

The Electronic Poker game also has hold buttons, and enthusiasts should now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the bettor would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they wish, whether it is all or none.

After the player has selected which cards he or she would like to keep, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be needed they will be handed out. The game is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payout schedule.

Normally, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the pay out schedule can range from game to game, so that knowledgeable enthusiasts are agile enough to pick the most money-making ones each instance.

After the first round has completed, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that they may have won. Additionally, several styles of the game allow the gambler an opportunity to double their winnings, in which instance a further hand is played. There are also variations among individual games, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other varying characteristics to enhance playability.
